Just for clarification, is Discourse meant to displace the Slack group? Or is this in addition to it?
I think this forum is to supplement the slack group. From the slack:
[Discourse] IS a much better place for longstanding evergreen discussions than slack (which has no memory).

It’s even possible to integrate Slack and Discourse to ease knowledge exchange between the two platforms.
