Customizing Roam themes without css

Hey all,

I’ve been working on a customizable Roam theme that allows users to set a background image in the left sidebar, extract a hue from that image and apply it as the primary theme color. No coding skills required.

It’s a work in progress so would really appreciate some feedback!

You’ll find everything here:

I hope you have as much fun as I do creating them

This is a great idea. I have installed the code and changed it to display as css. No changes occur. I have changed the image with one from UNSPLASH, gone back to default style, and no changes appear. What have I missed? (I have other Roam Styles in css that work as expected. I started with this code at the bottom of the list but moved it up the list when it did not work but no change in display. Thanks for ideas.

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried turning off the other css styles? If that doesn’t work I’m happy to walk you through it if you’d like. You can send me a DM with a screenshot of the code block.
